HELLO MOVIE READERS

I suppose if you’ve clicked this icon you are willing to hear a little bit about myself. Well, I’ve been a passionate film goer for several years now, I’m not a paid critic, in fact, I pay to do this. It is my hope that my intense obsession with cinema seeps through my writing.

There is magic in cinema, I find it the most astonishing of all media: an unbeatable fusion of music, sound and imagery moving in unison as a rhythmic work of art. I don’t just like movies, I love movies. I want to see everything I can get my hands on, I want to discuss and debate them with others, I want to think about them . . .I find it the only medium in which I can do such.

The most profound kind of cinema can affect us: make us laugh, make us cry, inspire us and make us better people. In sharing, I hope to do two things: please others and please myself. I have included a "Top Tens" section, in which, between writing reviews for New Release movies, I hope to construct several catalogues of interesting work I have enjoyed, that I hope you may enjoy as well.

I am currently in the process of going back and constructing top ten lists from the years 2001-2007. As well as a list of all time favorites–although that list is bound to change all the time. Keep a look out for updates there.

The "What’s New" section of this website will feature monthly updates into the bigger goings on of Hollywood. I will look to clarify current events and provide my own personal outlook, without (hopefully) causing a controversy.

I go to the movies to be entertained, same as everyone else, but I promise to an effort to spotlight some of the "littler known of" works that may not necessarily fall into the Hollywood system. Foreign films, as well as documentaries are just as strong now as they ever were.

I evaluate films from the following system:

A	Excellent – a must see! (Note: Seldom will I give a film an A+ rating. This is my highest possible rating. Reserved for perfect films).
B	Good to very good – though not without flaws.
C	Average – if you must, proceed with caution.
D	Terrible – stay away!
F	Putrid – avoid at all costs!
